I-Dott Surface Pattern Design competition 2024

In my first year of university, I had the opportunity to enter I-Dott's Surface Pattern Design Competition, and design for the brief chosen by my lectures: Lasting Legacy. As a group, we explored damask style wallpapers, and then moved on to developing our own patterns influences by what we had seen. I took inspiration from various places, such as forms in nature (particularly florals and leaves), ornate features in architecture, and iron gates.

I also took the exciting opportunity to take this collection on a trip with me to China, where it was exhibited in Wuhan University of Technology.
